People and organisations criticised in our reporting are given a reasonable opportunity to respond before publication.<\/p>\n
We keep news reports separate from opinion and analysis, and label opinion pieces clearly.<\/p>\n
Advertisers, sponsors and partners have no influence over our reporting. Sponsored or paid content is always labelled as such.<\/p>\n
We credit photographers and sources, and we do not publish images that have been altered to mislead readers.<\/p>\n
We take special care when reporting on children, victims of crime, communal or religious matters and suicide, and we avoid content that could incite hatred or violence.<\/p>\n
